Turrets: An Architectural Feature of Delight and Bewilderment

A turret truly is an architectural show stopper. The definition is a small tower that projects vertically for the wall of a building, usually on a corner or angle.  When thinking of a turret, many people think of castles from the Medieval times. It wasn’t until the mid to late Victorian period, that the turret become popular on this side of the pond. And it’s true rise to stardom was in the Queen Anne style buildings.
