Vermont Unfading Grey Slate Roof in Perth, Western Australia
The logistics for international projects are complex and interesting. This slate’s journey started when we loaded the container in Poultney, Vermont. The flatbed then took the container down to NY where the container sat until it was cleared to be loaded onto a ship in New York Harbor. It sailed across the Atlantic, through the Strait of Gibraltar into the Mediterranean Sea, through the Suez Canal, into the Read Sea, and the Arabian sea, and finally into the Indian Ocean for 50 days before arriving in Fremantle, the port city of Perth, Australia. A 13,422 nautical miles journey for our Vermont Unfading Grey! Cheers to a job well-done!
